Gravel Paving Frequently Asked Questions
Q:  Do you heat the asphalt?  A:  We install the crushed asphalt cold, we do not heat the crushed asphalt.
Q:  Will the surface be hard?  A:  The surface will be completely packed once we roll with our vibrating steel roller.  You can drive on it immediately, it will continue to harden with traffic and heat from the sun.
Q:  Will the surface have loose stones?  A:  Because it is an aggregate or gravel surface you will still have loose stones.
Q:  Is this Crushed Asphalt ground fine or have large chunks like Millings?  A:  We seek out only the highest quality crushed asphalt, ground to 1" particles or less, no large pieces!
Q:  What type of maintenance is required?  A:  No annual maintenance required.
Q:  Can it be re-graded?  A:  If a pothole or low area develops it can be milled, graded and rolled.
Q:  How does it do with Snowplowing?  A:  You will not have any issues with snow removal, like any aggregate surface caution should used when plowing early and late winter when the ground is not frozen.
Q:  Can lines be painted on it for parking lots?  A:  You could paint it but lines will look blurry and will have to be done yearly.
Q:  What will the edges look like?  A:  We strive to make the straightest lines, round curves and smooth transitions to the existing grades.  We like to leave the edges at least 1-2" higher than the surrounding shoulders for proper drainage.
Q:  Will the black color fade?  A:  Yes, over time the black color will lighten, more of the white in the gravel will eventually show.
